S J Johnson gas technicians can repair or replace propane devices, install above ground and

underground tanks, run lines inside and outside (your home or business). Our technicians are

both licensed and insured for the state of Maryland. We conform to all NFPA 54 and NFPA 58

codes in addition to all local plumbing codes. We coordinate and handle all permitting processes

that involve propane installation on your behalf. We offer a number of tank sizes to best fit your

needs.

Propane tank sizes:

120 gallon or 420lb: Best for single use appliances: Eg: cooktops, fireplaces, tankless. For

multiple appliances, you can have up to (4) 120 gallons tanks set next to your home with some

250 500 and 1000 gallon tanks: Best use for multiple appliances, bigger homes or commercial

uses. All these tanks must be 10’ from your home or building. These tanks can be buried or

above ground. Tank size is determined by the total number of BTU’s needed for all appliances

Due to expansion, propane tanks are only filled to 80% of their stated capacity!

PLEASE NOTE: we will NOT fill 100# tanks from delivery trucks. We can offer

you a free sight survey to upgrade to a bigger tank OR we can offer you a pick up
