If you're looking for a way to comfortably heat and cool your family home, protect your environment, decrease your energy cost, decrease your heating and cooling maintenance cost and get a great return on your investment, then geothermal is what you’re looking for.

Geothermal has been called the most energy efficient, environmentally clean, and cost effective space conditioning system ever by the Environmental Protection Agency(EPA). When compared to an ordinary system, geothermal systems can save you anywhere for 30% to 70% annually in utilities. For every 1 BTU of electricity used to heat or cool your home the geothermal pump unit produces 3-5 BTU, that's about 300%-500% more efficient than using electric resistance heat.

Conventional heat pumps function by using high-pressure refrigerant to capture and move heat between indoors and out. They basically gather heat and get rid of it- through outside air. The problem is that the heat pump has to struggle to take heat from freezing winter air or to dump it into the hot summer air, which drives electricity bills through the roof.

How Solar Water heaters Work
Tax Credits for Energy Saving equipment

Geothermal heat pumps function the same except they use the earth to extract and disperse heat through a 55 degree (average) liquid circulating ground loop. The earth provides us this steady state temperature. With that steady state temperature geothermal does not have to consume nearly as much electricity to keep your home comfortable, which means electric bills are very low.

Geo Thermal energyGeothermal units simply pump liquid, so they are very quiet and can be placed indoors safe from the elements, which extends there life span. Geothermal systems can be installed on just about any lot size, most common ground loop systems are vertical. Vertical systems work well on smaller lots. They require a hole to be bored in the ground, typically, 75 to 500 plus feet deep to house the ground loop. For cost savings horizontal trenches can be installed to hold the ground loop, however there must be an adequate amount of land available to accommodate them.

Geothermal systems provide excellent "zone" spacing conditions allowing different parts of your home to be heated or cooled at different temperatures. Geothermal can also produce hot water for your home and cut more energy cost for you or provide a great source of heat for radiant heat.

Geothermal systems are very eco- friendly. Installing a geothermal system is equivalent to removing two cars, and the pollution they create, from the road or equivalent to planting 750 trees.

Geo Thermal heating systems qualify for special Energy Star tax credits.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provides for new tax credits that are designed to improve energy efficiency in American homes.

These credits can be worth as much as $1500, or 30% of the installed cost! S.J. Johnson installs and services many of the models and makes of air conditioning / heating units, and water heaters that qualify for these valuable credits.

Time is limited on this offer.
